People have told us the most effective way to connect at Vineyard is by getting involved with one of our teams.
God calls us to be ourselves; to use the abilities he gives us to love one another, and our local community. We only have to look once to see what an amazing display of gifts, talents and personalities he’s blessed us with - every one of us has something unique to offer. So if you call Vineyard your home then get involved and join a team! Click on the link to find a team that’s perfect for you, or find out more about each team below.

Livestream Teams
We’re always growing our online engagement and creativity, so are therefore always developing our camera, editing, design and broadcast sound teams. You don’t necessarily have to be an expert in each field; if you have some experience then we’ll happily see if we can provide further training to join this creative collective.
Worship, Sound & Visuals
Sound production for worship is a rare talent, so if you possess this gift then we want to hear from you! Alternatively, if you’re committed to forming your life around following and worshiping Jesus - and happen to be a talented guitarist, bassist, drummer, play the keys, sing vocals, or want to produce - then get in touch.
Content Creation
Our stories of what God has done for us, in us or through us, provides a beautiful opportunity to share with those that don’t know Him, a little bit about His character and His gospel message. If you have creative flair and skillsets, and would like to be involved in creating online content that talks about Jesus to everyday people in a contemporary way, get in touch to explore more.
Kids & Youth
We want to see our children and young adults grow and develop healthy relationships with one another and with the world. We want to see them enjoy their lives as they journey to understand the life and freedom that Jesus offers them. Therefore we aim to create spaces that will help them to grow and engage with God and with one another, whilst having fun.
Vineyard Kids
Our children are not the church of tomorrow but the church of today. Vineyard Kids runs parallel to both Sunday Services and is a hugely popular and growing ministry. You can get involved with lots of different age groups - from babies to nursery or primary school ages. Whether you choose to take up a leading role, or a creative or supportive role, we’re certain you’ll find it a rewarding experience. If you’re new then we’ll pair you up with an experienced team member and give you all the essential training needed to have fun and keep our kids safe.
Sunday Youth Service
We all have a part to play where we can invest into the lives of young people. Here at Vineyard we strive to encourage and activate young people to use the gifts that God has poured into them, enabling them to become instigators of change.
We start each Sunday upstairs in our youth space with the exception of the second Sunday of the month when we start downstairs with the adults for worship and communion. Our Youth Team do an amazing job in facilitating the Youth to lead, engage, explore and overcome challenges in their faith and lives. If you’d like to play a part in encouraging and equipping this generation of leaders, get in touch.
Sunday Services
So much goes on ‘behind the scenes’ to make Sunday mornings happen. This is only possible through the enormous number of people who happily give their time and energy to freely serve. If you want to be part of team that creates a welcoming and fun atmosphere for people to engage with God and one another, then start here.
Welcome Team
Our welcome team works hard to ensure that everyone who walks through the door is helped to feel at home and connected here. They offer everyone a friendly smile and are confident in approaching new people to say hello, offer them information or point them in the right direction. Our welcome team readily contributes creative ideas to make our visitors’ experience more enjoyable. If you love interacting with people of all ages and backgrounds, then you’ll make a great addition to this team!
Parking Team
You get to wear a fashionable hi-vis jacket and your very own walkie talkie. What other reason do you need to join this team? These stewards are a friendly bunch and work solidly through all types of weather to ensure everyone is parked safely. They are the first point of contact that visitors have here, and do a sterling job of making people feel welcome before they’ve even stepped through the door. If you’re tough enough to brave the elements all year round, then this is the team for you!
Hospitality Team
A little hospitality goes a long way. This team is almost invisible on a Sunday morning, yet everyone helps themselves to the free coffee, tea and donuts they lay out. If you’d like to simply serve visitors and regulars alike, then why not play a part in this essential team that make sure there are always enough refreshments for everyone to enjoy on a Sunday morning.
Blend Coffee Bar
As well as offering free coffee and donuts on a Sunday morning, we also run the Blend Coffee Bar - serving a variety of speciality fair-trade teas and coffees. All the profits from this café go to Bethesda Orphanages in India - a project we’ve supported for the last decade. So if you’d like to be trained as a barista then get in touch!
“It was only when I joined the Refreshments Team that I started to make solid friendships within the church. Before then I’d kind of just felt like a floater.”
Prayer & Pastoral
Prayer is one of the foundations of the Church. We understand that God’s ears are open to our prayers and He is ready and willing to respond. Praying or serving in one of our Pastoral ministries is just one way we can show love to others. You can often deepen your own experience of God’s love and compassion through choosing to listen, pray for and help resource others; equipping them to grow in their discipleship journey with Jesus.
Sunday Ministry Team
We are all called to pray for others. Joining the Sunday Ministry Team will open oodles of opportunities to join in with what the Holy Spirit is already doing in people’s lives. Find out what’s involved today.
Prophetic Prayer
Everyone is welcome to join us for this pre-service prayer. We gather 30 mins before the service and pray for all who come in person and those that join us online. New to prayer? This is a safe place to begin praying with others and putting into practice receiving those ‘words of knowledge’ that the Bible talks about.
Prayernet
We wholeheartedly believe that God heals today, and believe these instances are signs of Jesus' work of redemption and restoration establishing itself in Creation. PrayerNet sends out emergency email prayer requests for Vineyard members' in need. So if you want to join us in prayer, you can pray for people whenever and wherever you are.
The Shop
Much more than just sales clerks. This team is enthusiastic about sourcing great resources, books and CDs, that will help impact and release us in our walk with Jesus - and with one another. Calculators are provided so all you need is a cheery disposition and be ready to help.
Practical
There’s so much happening at Vineyard through the week! Just as many teams to join who host and run events in the evenings or on a weekday.
Pastor & Ministry Support
Did you know that the Bible refers to administration as a God given gift? It’s true! Those of us who aren’t blessed with this talent can testify what a valuable asset it is. Our pastors & ministry leaders always need reliable support from good administrators to make things run smoothly!
Building Support
The Vineyard is a large place! We’re only able to maintain the building through a special group of volunteers who’ve chosen to sacrifice their time and energy to clean, paint and repair the church’s facilities. Even during lockdown there are tasks to do!
Care Centre
The good news of Jesus is for everyone. We know from the Bible that God's heart is especially turned towards those who are vulnerable and disadvantaged. As his followers we are keen to show his love in practical, down to earth ways.
Bridge
Birdge is a unique membership scheme offering individuals and families access to food alongside a wide range of help, support and resources. Designed to be a ‘next step for regular food bank users’, the scheme is centred around a mentorship pathway; individuals will work with their mentors to create and achieve goals specific to their unique situation.
Mentoring is a meaningful discipleship pathway for the mentor as well as the mentee, so if you’d like to compassionately serve others through this ground-breaking initiative, then get in touch and explore mentoring at the Care Centre.
Mentors - To mentor guests on our Bridge programme (Wednesdays 12.30-3) which will include:
Develop one-to-one relationships with mentees, meeting them on a weekly/fortnightly basis.
To create bespoke support plans for mentee, designed to fulfil their developmental goals and/or facilitate their transition from dependence to independence - This is an outworking of our understanding of Christ’s work: to bring healing, restoration and transformation through prayer, discipleship (mentoring), and pastoring.
Help Mentees decide and find workshops or courses that will best meet their goals or build upon their skillsets and experience in their chosen developmental, career or employment path.
Help Mentees contact agencies or source assistance with other life issues that they want to address.
Provide other general support to see the Mentee thrive.
Monday Operations
We host a free café, family support & play sessions, various drop-in clinics, KIT and other workshops or rooms every Monday morning alongside our emergency food bank. There are many roles to fulfill at the Care Centre. Our volunteer team work hard to welcome people, create a safe environment and make folk feel at home. We do our upmost to treat everyone with compassion and dignity - whoever they are, however they identify or whatever their background or situation is. If this resonates with you then get in touch to explore joining the team.
Refuel
Refuel provides fresh and healthy holiday lunches for families, with school-aged children, who are on a budget. We make sure there are games, activities and crafts too - so that it’s a fun lunchtime session! We don’t want to just be a ‘handout’ but connect with these families in a meaningful way. Join the team to greet our guests and get to chat with both kids & parents. Prefer to be behind the scenes? Join the kitchen team and become one of our wonderful cooks.
KIT
Provides clothes and equipment for babies and small children (0-5 years old). If you just can’t get enough of washing & ironing, or can perhaps love sorting through teeny tiny baby clothes, or enjoy testing equipment, get in touch.

We are always looking for individuals who can help us receive, sort and organise all of the wonderful donations that are so generously given.
